A San FerÂnanÂdo man on his way to pay over $100,000 worth of outÂstandÂing taxÂes on gamÂing maÂchines on MonÂday was robbed of the cash, steps away from the InÂland RevÂenue BuildÂing in Port-of-Spain.
The darÂing midÂday robÂbery reÂportÂedÂly took place in full view of the seÂcuÂriÂty guards on duÂty.
PoÂlice said the 33-year-old vicÂtim was apÂproachÂing the steps leadÂing to the MinÂistry of FiÂnance ofÂfice at WrightÂson Road, around 12.20 pm, when a susÂpect grabbed the shopÂping bag conÂtainÂing the sum of $120,000 and ran off.
