A 48-year-old company director was robbed of his licensed firearm and cash while changing a flat tyre along the new San Fernando to Point Fortin Highway in La Brea on Wednesday evening.
A police report stated that the victim exited his vehicle at the TGU Roundabout, along the segment of then roadway known as the Archibald De Leon Highway, to repair a tyre at around 6.35pm.
The victim, police said, observed a white AD wagon approaching from the opposite direction a few minutes later. The front seat passenger, wearing three-quarter pants, white vest and cap exited the vehicle and walked up to the victim, pointed a firearm and ordered him to hand over his valuables.
