Two men were arrested on Sunday night after police officers intercepted a vehicle in Quarry Village, Siparia, and allegedly discovered a firearm and ammunition during a targeted operation.
According to a media release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), officers attached to the Siparia Police Station acted on intelligence and stopped a silver Nissan B15 along Thompson Trace, Quarry Village, at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Sunday.
Police said the vehicle was being driven by a 23-year-old man from Quarry Village, Siparia, while a 28-year-old man, also of Quarry Village, was seated in the front passenger seat.
