A 50-year-old Laventille man was shot and killed on Friday night near the Desperados Pan Yard in what police believe to be a gang-related execution.

The deceased has been identified as Clinton Simmons, also known as “Bunty,” of Mc Shine Lands, Laventille. He was found with multiple gunshot wounds shortly after 10p.m.

According to police reports, officers from the Port of Spain Gang and Intelligence Unit were on patrol around 9:50 p.m. when they received a transmission from Command Centre about a man lying unresponsive near the pan yard on Laventille Road.
