Man shot dead in Laventille, vehicle crashes into wall

A 47-year-old man was shot and killed on Upper Wharton Street, Laventille, on Tuesday night, moments after returning from a grocery run.
Police identified the victim as Shawn McLean, of 12B Wharton Street, Laventille.
According to reports, around 7.45 p.m. McLean left his home to go to a nearby grocery. He returned shortly before 8.55 p.m., when loud explosions were heard in the area.
