It was around 8.55 p.m. on Saturday that four masked men wearing gloves entered Gourmet Palace Supermarket which was open for business, and they announced a robbery. Two of them had cutlasses and one of the blades was used to strike the security guard about his body while employees were forced to lie on the ground.
Two of the robbers ransacked the cash register area and took cartons of assorted cigarettes, two cash registers with an undisclosed amount of money, and a black and silver safe with approximately $40,000. The men escaped in a grey Honda City.
