A violent armed robbery occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday at a Mini Mart on Seebalack Branch Trace, Rochard Road, Penal, with two customers and the sales attendant tied up and robbed.
The 31-year-old salesperson was conducting business inside the store when a male customer, known locally as “Bhaw,” was present. The victim stepped outside the store and was confronted by one suspect, an African descent male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, slim built, dark-skinned, wearing black shorts, a black printed jersey, sneakers, and a ski mask. Armed with a firearm, the suspect demanded cash, jewellery, and other valuables.
At that time, a 30-year-old customer entered the mini mart to make a purchase and was also accosted by the armed suspect. The suspct forced both victims into the store’s kitchen area, where a second male, approximately 6 feet tall, slim-built, wearing a peach/orange long-sleeve top, grey pants, and a blue jersey tied around his head, joined the robbery.
