Four armed men stormed a supermarket in Charlieville on Wednesday morning, beating the manager and robbing him of cash, cigarettes and cell phones before stealing a customer’s car as they made their escape.
Police said around 8:06 a.m. the manager was at Zing Ching Supermarket along Caroni Savannah Road, Charlieville, when the men walked in through the front door.
One of the suspects was armed with a gun and another with a cutlass. They announced a hold-up and attacked the victim, dealing him blows before taking, two Samsung cell phones,two cases of LM cigarettes valued at $14,500, $30,000 in cash, and US $1,000.
