Storage bond destroyed by fire in Mahaicony

(Kaieteur News) – A storage bond at the A&S General Construction Klyzaanar Asphalt Plant in De Hoop, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara was on Monday destroyed by fire.

The Guyana Fire Service in a release said it successfully extinguished the fire. Water Tender #125 and Water Carrier #35, along with firefighting crews from the Mahaica and Melanie Fire Stations, were dispatched to the scene.

“Through swift and coordinated firefighting efforts, crews were able to bring the blaze under control and successfully extinguish it, preventing further spread,” GFS said.
