(Kaieteur News) – The Guyana Fire said it is investigating the cause of a fire which destroyed a building at Lot 11 Massacre Street, Track ‘A’ Lusignan, East Coast Demerara on Friday.
According to a brief statement from the fire service, responding to the report, upon arrival at the location, firefighters saw the building fully engulfed in flames, with the fire threatening a nearby structure.
“Water Tender #125, #131, #123 from Mahaica, Campbellville and Melaine Fire Station responded. Through swift and coordinated firefighting efforts, the blaze was brought under control and prevented from spreading further,” the fire service reported.
