House destroyed by fire at Friendship Backdam

(Kaieteur News) – A single-storey wooden house and its contents were completely destroyed by fire at Lot 7 Friendship Backdam, East Coast Demerara last night.
The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) said firefighting crews from the Campbellville and Melanie Fire Stations responded to the report of the blaze, deploying Water Tenders #123 and #131, along with Water Carrier #35.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the building fully engulfed in flames.
