Police constable granted bail on assault charge

A police constable has appeared before the Port of Spain Masters’ Court in connection with a common assault charge.
Dextroy Manswell, 43, appeared on Tuesday before Master Valerie Gomez Abraham. He was granted bail in the sum of $50,000 with surety.
The court imposed conditions as part of bail. These include no direct or indirect contact with the complainant, maintaining a distance of 200 feet, and residing at a stated address for the duration of the matter.
