A police constable and a civilian have been charged with firearm related offences following their arrest in the Caroni district.
The men appeared before separate Justices of the Peace on Thursday, and were each granted bail with surety.
PC Kushal Karamthesingh was charged with transferring his Glock 48 pistol; transferring ten rounds of 9-millimetre ammunition; possession of three 12-gauge cartridges; failing to have his Firearm User’s Licence when carrying legal firearms and ammunition in a public place; not being authorised to keep a Trinidad and Tobago Police Service shotgun; improper use of a TTPS shotgun; and not being authorised to keep five TTPS 12-gauge cartridges.
