A bandit was killed by police during a confrontation with officers yesterday morning, and three of his accomplices were arrested following a home invasion.
Police reported that around 3.10am, a 54-year-old businessman and his 32-year-old brother were on their way to their Eastern Main Road, Barataria home when they were ambushed.
The bandits forced the brothers into their home, beating them and demanding cash and valuables. The intruders robbed the brothers and four others who were at home, taking a cellphone and $2,500 cash from one of the brothers and a cellphone from another.
