POLICE believe they have disrupted the operations of another home invasion gang following a confrontation with a group of men in Marabella on Wednesday night which left one of the suspects dead, two arrested, while five others remain the subject of a manhunt.
A release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) yesterday stated that around 9.25 p.m., officers of the Southern Division Task Force (SDTF), Southern Division Emergency Response and Tactical Unit (SDRETF), Marabella Police, and San Fernando Police Station acted on credible intelligence that a group of men armed with illegal firearms were preparing to launch a home invasion on Union Park East after they were seen on a residential property by residents.
According to the release, responding officers met eight men gathered in a yard, who attempted to flee when they saw the officers.
