A midday armed robbery at supermarket in Charlieville has led to the arrest of a suspect.
On Tuesday at 12:30 p.m., three men entered S&D Supermarket, located at Caroni Savannah Road, Chaguanas. Two of the suspects approached the owner, one brandishing a firearm and announcing a robbery.
The victim, who owns the supermarket, was forced to hand over cash amounting to $1,000, assorted cigarettes, a Teclo Porva phone valued at $1,200, a white Dell laptop worth $5,000, and a Redmi 9 phone valued at $1,000. The men then fled towards the highway.
