Police have arrested one suspect after a store in Chaguanas was broken into and thousands of dollars in cash and items stolen early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, around midnight a tenant alerted the owner of a party supplies store along Old Southern Main Road that the premises had been broken into. The owner had earlier locked and secured the business around 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Checks revealed that approximately $8,700 in cash, several cartons of cigarettes, a quantity of gas lighters, and Bluetooth speakers were missing.
