POLICE in Sangre Grande have launched a manhunt for one of their own after he allegedly shot a woman in the leg at a nightclub early on Friday morning.

After carrying out the alleged shooting, the off-duty officer fled the scene and remained “on the run” up to yesterday, police stated.

Police reported that, around 3.45 a.m., the 35-year-old victim, along with a female friend were at Club Etings when the officer, who was known to both women, shot the victim.
