A 41-year-old Canadian national was bitten during a robbery while participating in Carnival activities in Port of Spain.
Police said the woman of Ontario, Canada, was at the corner of Nelson and Faure Streets around 4.20 p.m. on Carnival Tuesday when she was accosted by a man. According to reports, the suspect grabbed her wallet which contained a Samsung A52 cellular phone valued at $2,100, $200 in cash, a driver’s permit and a credit card.
A struggle ensued during which the suspect bit the woman on her left arm, causing her to release her purse. The assailant then ran off in an unknown direction.
