A resident of the United Kingdom reported being kidnapped, beaten and robbed by a woman and four men.
The 27-year-old told police that he was walking along Ariapita Avenue around 10.30 p.m. on Thursday and, on reaching around Hamilton Holder Street in Port of Spain, he was accosted and taken away in a black coloured van by four masked men and a woman who was unmasked. He said he was taken to an unknown location where he was beaten and held against his will.
He further reported that threats were made against his life for his money to be handed over. His three bank card and US$200 were taken before he was dropped off by a bus shed on the Audrey Jeffers Highway. He returned to his hotel around 5.30 a.m. and contacted his manager and informed her of the incident.
