A CANADIAN woman was robbed by a man who bit her arm during a robbery in downtown Port of Spain on Carnival Tuesday afternoon.
Police said that around 4.20 p.m. the victim, 41 from Etobicoke, Ontario in Canada was participating in Carnival related activities at the corner of Nelson and Faure Streets, east Port of Spain when she was accosted by a man who grabbed her purse containing her cellular phone valued $2100, $200 cash, her driver’s license and a credit card. Police said that the woman fought back with the bandit during which he then bit down on her left arm causing her to release the purse.
The bandit then ran off.
