Seven police officers who were detained in connection with the disappearance of three Glock pistols, three magazines and 45 rounds of 9mm ammunition from the Central Police Station on St Vincent Street, Port of Spain, remain in custody.
In an update to TTT News, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service confirmed that the officers continue to be interviewed by the Professional Standards Bureau.
The seven were reportedly on duty the night the weapons went missing. The firearms and ammunition had been deposited at the station by municipal police officers on August 10th for safekeeping. A check later revealed they were missing, prompting an immediate investigation.
