An acting sergeant and two women police officers are among the seven officers detained in connection with this week’s disappearance of three Glock pistols, three magazines and 45 rounds of 9mm ammunition from the Central Police Station in Port of Spain.

Police sources confirmed yesterday that the homes of all officers had been searched between Wednesday and yesterday, and that the missing weapons and ammunition were still unaccounted for up to last night.

The officers are being held in police stations throughout the Port of Spain Division and East-West Corridor.
