(Kaieteur News) – Police are investigating a fatal accident which claimed the life of a 37-year-old teacher around midday Tuesday along the Lima Sands Access Road, Essequibo Coast, Region Two.

Dead is Daveanand Singh of Danielstown, Essequibo Coast, who reportedly lost control of his car after it began to drift across the roadway before veering off the road and overturning into a nearby trench.

The vehicle reportedly ended up submerged in the trench, with Singh pinned inside. Police said another occupant, a 34-year-old man of Lima Sands and Henrietta, Essequibo Coast, survived the accident.
