Two State SUVs were damaged in a minor accident along the Audrey Jeffers Highway, Foreshore, on Saturday morning.
Around 8:45 a.m., police officers attached to the CID/CRO were on escort duty, traveling east in convoy formation behind a marked police vehicle when a Hyundai Creta attempted to overtake two trailer trucks and suddenly pulled in front of the lead police vehicle.
The Creta reportedly came to an abrupt stop, forcing the marked police vehicle and an unmarked black Toyota Land Cruiser driven by PC Shane Dyer to brake sharply. A black Toyota Prado, a Judiciary vehicle driven by PC David Ropa, was unable to stop in time and struck the rear of the Land Cruiser.
