A ST James man who police said was driving without a licence and insurance faces several charges after a high-speed chase along the Beetham Highway ended when he crashed into a newly acquired police vehicle yesterday.
Police said the incident began shortly after noon when officers saw the driver of a grey Hyundai Creta run a red traffic light at Sea Lots while travelling east along the Beetham Highway.
The officers activated their sirens and signalled for the driver to stop, but he allegedly refused and accelerated away.
