An elderly man was assaulted and tied up during a violent daytime robbery at his brother’s home in St. Joseph Village on Monday, May 26. The incident resulted in the theft of two vehicles and several household items valued at over $170,000.
According to police, around 1:30 p.m., the 62-year-old victim went to check on the residence of his brother who resides in New York and was abroad at the time, when he was accosted by a group of masked men at the property, located at Caradale Crescent.
The attackers physically assaulted the man, tied him up, and stole the keys to his grey Suzuki Grand Vitara (registration PCD 6312), which they used to flee the scene. The men also ransacked the house before escaping.
