A 69-year-old man is recovering from injuries after a brutal home invasion at his Lopinot Road residence on Tuesday night, during which he was beaten, tied up, and robbed by a group of armed intruders.
The victim was reportedly seated in the garage on the southern side of his property around 9:00 p.m. when he was confronted by a group of men , one armed with a cutlass and another with a firearm.
Police said the men announced a robbery, forced the man into his house, and struck him repeatedly before tying his hands and feet, gagging him, and forcing him to lie face-down on the ground. The assailants issued repeated threats to kill him if he didn’t cooperate.
