An elderly Barataria resident was tied up, beaten and robbed by three intruders who also stole his SUV during a home invasion late Saturday night.
Around 11.30 p.m., the 71-year-old returned to his home at Eighth Street, Barataria, and was in the kitchen when he was confronted by three masked men dressed in dark clothing. One of the men appeared to be armed with a firearm.
The men announced a robbery. Fearing for his life, the resident complied as one of the suspects forced him into a bathroom, where they took his Samsung S22 cellphone, US$1,500, and TT $10,000 from his pocket.
