A man was robbed of $21,000 in cash and three gold rings after a meeting to purchase a gold chain led to an armed robbery in Beetham Gardens on Friday.
The incident began around 10 a.m. on Friday, when two men met two suspects in the vicinity of a jewelry story at Trincity Mall to purchase a gold chain for $30,800.
During the transaction, one of the suspects allegedly obtained a gold box-link chain from the jewellery store for $10,800, which was handed over by one of the prospective buyers.
