A 34-year-old man was robbed of $42,000 in cash during a daylight robbery at the Trincity Mall car park on Monday.

Police said the incident occurred around 1.27 p.m. in the vicinity of Pennywise when the victim was accosted by two men wearing ski masks that completely covered their faces. The men announced a robbery, causing the victim to fear for his life.

The victim was relieved of a grey backpack containing $42,000 in cash, along with his identification card and driving permit.
