With Barry Padarath set to depart the Princes Town constituency to contest Couva South for the United National Congress (UNC) in the April 28 general election, the people of Princes Town yesterday offered mixed reviews of the two-term representative and his ten-year tenure.
Padarath came into office in 2015, earning more than twice the votes of his People’s National Movement (PNM) counterpart Nikolaiski Ali.
He held the seat again in 2020, cementing his second term with 11,280 votes against the PNM’s 4,708.
