number of Couva South residents yesterday said they were shocked by the news that former MP Rudy Indarsingh has not been selected to return as the United National Congress (UNC) candidate in the April 28 general election.
Most who spoke with the Express during a visit to the area said they were also disappointed as they recalled Indarsingh being active and “very helpful”.
As people in the constituency learned that former Princes Town MP Barry Padarath will be their candidate, most people said they welcomed him but were more familiar with Indarsingh.
