The Government is moving to strengthen its crime-fighting measures through the creation of a national policy for gated communities.
Minister of Rural Development and Local Government Khadijah Ameen announced yesterday that Cabinet has appointed an inter-ministerial committee to develop the policy.
Speaking at the post-Cabinet news conference at the Diplomatic Centre, Port of Spain, Ameen said the committee will include representatives from several ministries, including the Office of the Attorney General and the Ministry of National Security.
