āFor years unĀder the PNM, crime spiĀralled out of conĀtrol. MurĀders, home inĀvaĀsions, praeĀdiĀal larĀceĀny, car theft, all reached unĀpreceĀdentĀed levĀels, while comĀmuĀniĀties were left abanĀdoned. CitĀiĀzens begged for soĀluĀtions, but the PNM had none. They igĀnored resĀiĀdents, starved loĀcal govĀernĀment of reĀsources, and ofĀfered exĀcusĀes inĀstead of proĀtecĀtion,ā Ameen said.
