Trinidad and Tobago is under a yellow-level adverse weather alert as scattered showers, persistent rain, and occasional thunderstorms continue across the islands. The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service issued the warning today at 9:36 am, advising residents to remain vigilant.
The alert, which began at 3:00 am today and is expected to last until 4:00 pm, notes that gusty winds could accompany the storms. Possible impacts include street and flash flooding in prone areas, localised ponding in low-lying locations, and the risk of landslips and landslides.
Authorities are urging the public to assess conditions before travelling, take necessary precautions, and follow any instructions from government officials.
