OPPOSITION Member of Parliament Kareem Marcelle has questioned whether the Government intends to shut down the East Port of Spain Development Company (EPOS), pointing to the absence of a board of directors, staff terminations, and what he described as a failure to release funds allocated to the company.

The Laventille West MP raised the concerns yesterday at a news conference at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, Charles Street, Port of Spain.

Marcelle said the company, which falls under the Ministry of Housing, has been without a board since the United National Congress (UNC) administration assumed office in May 2025.
