Young concerned about state of democracy

THE Special Operations Bill, 2026 is among a number of developments raising concern about the state of democracy in Trinidad and Tobago, Port of Spain North/St Ann's West MP Stuart Young has said.

He made the comment yesterday in a Facebook post marking the country's 50th anniversary as a republic.

In the post, he warned that citizens must remain vigilant in protecting their rights and freedoms.
