Former SoE detainee gunned down in George Street

A 27-year-old man was shot and killed near his home on George Street, Port of Spain, on Sunday night, less than a week after his release from detention under the State of Emergency.

Deshawn Manson, also known as “Deedee”, was found dead near the Health Centre around 10.20 pm.

Police said officers were on patrol in the area when residents alerted them to a man's body.
