A brutal cutlass attack in Cunupia on Monday afternoon has left three residents injured, including a man who suffered a severed thumb, in what police describe as a domestic violence-related incident.
The attack occurred around 3:30 p.m. at a home along William Trace, Welcome Road. According to police reports, the 26-year-old male victim was visiting the home of his 26-year-old sister and their 55-year-old mother when the woman’s estranged husband arrived wielding a cutlass, despite an active Protection Order issued against him.
The suspect allegedly chopped the male victim several times. The man’s right thumb was severed, and he also sustained deep wounds to his left palm, forearm, and eyebrow.
