Police are investigating an incident in Tunapuna in which a 28-year-old man sustained a facial injury following an altercation in a residential apartment.
Officers from the Tunapuna Criminal Investigations Department responded shortly after midnight on Monday, November 17, to an address on Ramkissoon Trace, Pasea Extension, following reports of a wounding. Upon arrival, they observed blood trails leading from a bedroom to the living room.
The victim was found with a wound to the right cheek. A 46-year-old woman, later identified as his girlfriend, was attending to his injury. She reported that an argument had taken place earlier with her 17-year-old son over the victim spending the night at the home. The teenager allegedly struck the man with a cutlass during the dispute and then fled the scene in a red Frontier vehicle.
