Three peo­ple were in­jured on Mon­day af­ter­noon when a man armed with a cut­lass at­tacked them at a home in Cunu­pia.

Around 3.30 pm, the vic­tims were at a house on William Trace, when the at­tack­er, iden­ti­fied as the es­tranged hus­band of one of the vic­tims, stormed the premis­es. The man, who has a pro­tec­tion or­der against him, al­leged­ly chopped a 26-year-old male rel­a­tive sev­er­al times, sev­er­ing part of his right thumb.

Two fe­male rel­a­tives aged, 55, and 26, in­ter­vened to help but were al­so wound­ed. The es­tranged wife of the at­tack­er, re­ceived cuts to both legs.
