(Kaieteur News) – A Corriverton man walked free from the Springlands Magistrates’ Court on Thursday after a narcotics trafficking charge against him was dismissed, with magistrate Tuana Hardy citing serious gaps in the prosecution’s evidence.

Delon Moore, called ‘Duck’, 37, of No. 77 Housing Scheme, Corriverton, Corentyne, was arrested on December 1, 2025 by Inspector Mark Fraser after police found him in possession of 63.1 grams of cocaine at Scottsburg, Corriverton. He was charged on December 4, 2025 with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to Section 5(1)(a)(i) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Act, Chapter 10:10.

Moore made his first court appearance before Magistrate Tuanna Hardy on December 4, 2025, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was granted $300,000 bail with the matter adjourned to January 15, 2026 for a fixture report.
