Allegations by contractors that SWMCOL’s acting CEO and corporate secretary Ria Ramdeen coerced them into making “donations” to a particular private company are being probed by the State enterprise board and legal department of the Ministry of Public Utilities.

This was confirmed by Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath when contacted last week by the Sunday Express on the allegations.

The company to which cheques totalling tens of thousands of dollars were made out by the contractors is Kross Country Food Traders Ltd.
