THE PNM’s second Cepep lawsuit has seemingly stalled in the High Court, where a judge not only stayed the case but also flagged the extension of over 300 contracts – allegedly approved without proper authority – for investigation by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Justice Margaret Mohammed made the order on August 7.
“The serious matters concerning the extension of the agreement to September 2029 necessitates the granting of a stay of the claim and all proceedings and a referral of all the documents filed in this action to the Director of Public Prosecution for his consideration.”
