President proclaims stand-your-ground legislation

PRESIDENT Christine Kangaloo has proclaimed stand-your-ground legislation into law.
In Legal Notice 16, dated January 20, Kangaloo said all sections of the Home Invasion (Self-Defence and Defence of Property) Act, 2025 came into effect on that date.
She added this proclamation is provided for by section 2 of the Act.
