(Kaieteur News) – Businessman Randy Jagdeo, who was arrested in connection with the discovery of 23 AK-47 rifles at Schoonard, West Bank Demerara earlier this month, has been released on station bail as investigations into the major arms bust continue.
Police confirmed that Jagdeo was granted bail in a substantial sum after he surrendered to law enforcement following the issuance of a wanted bulletin in relation to the June 11 seizure.
The businessman was held as part of ongoing investigations into the discovery of the high-powered weapons, which were intercepted during a Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) operation along the West Bank of Demerara.
