A 52-year-old woman was robbed of her cellphone in a suspected larceny trick in Port of Spain last Friday afternoon.
Police said that around 1.30 p.m., the woman, of D’Abadie, was standing at the corner of Park and Charlotte Streets waiting to meet a prospective buyer for her iPhone 15 Plus, which she had arranged to sell.
While at the location, she was approached by a man described as being of African descent, in his early 20s, slim build, dark brown complexion and approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall. He was reportedly wearing a black jersey, three-quarter-length pants and slippers, and had a short, nappy hairstyle.
