A man was robbed of a new cellphone during a daylight transaction at MovieTowne on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said around 2:15 p.m., the victim went to the Starbucks outlet at MovieTowne, Port of Spain, to meet a buyer for a pink iPhone 16 Plus valued at $6,800. The victim, who works with an online business, LJA Sky Cellular Mobile Devices, had arranged to complete the sale in person.
The supposed customer, who identified himself as “Jordan Ramdeen,” met the victim inside the café. However, police said the man suddenly snatched the phone from the victim’s hand and bolted out of the store.
