A 43-year-old man was robbed at cutlass-point after being lured to a residence in Cunupia on Friday night, in an incident that later raised questions about the circumstances inside the property and the role of a woman he had gone to visit.
Police said the man arrived at a house around 10:30 p.m. to visit a 42-year-old woman. While he was inside a bedroom at the premises, he was allegedly confronted by three armed men who stormed into the room, announced a robbery, and demanded cash and valuables.
The victim was relieved of $120 in cash, a Samsung S25 cellphone valued at approximately $7,200, and the keys to his grey Nissan Navara pickup, valued at $379,000. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
